The planner is a starting point, not a quote. It weighs three things a dispatcher would ask about first: how many people are travelling, how much they are carrying, and how much pressure the clock is under. A solo traveler with a carry-on and no deadline fits a sedan. Add a third adult, a stroller or two large suitcases and an SUV becomes the safer choice. Past five or six passengers, or with heavy bags, the answer is usually a Sprinter or a pair of vehicles.

Route pressure matters because it changes the margin you need. A flight arrival means the car has to follow the real landing time, so put the flight number on the reservation. Multiple stops and a tight event call time both call for buffer windows and clear dispatch notes.

Once you have a likely class, check it against the published hourly floors: sedan $120 all-in, SUV $150 all-in, S-Class starting at $175 and Sprinter starting at $200, each with a 3-hour minimum.
